Anyone else get tickets off of WASTE today!? I was able to snatch 2 for the June 7th show at the Hummingbird Centre in Toronto. I've been waiting for years to see radiohead at such a small venue, I can barely contain myself!!

yah it sucks that they went on sale at such an odd time. As luck would have it, I happened to check WASTE at 6:45 when I got up for work and the sale was on. Within 5 minutes they were sold out!

Sorry for the confusion -- I was referring to the presale on WASTE, which sold out very quickly. The public sale hasn't started yet (I think it is either Friday or Saturday). So no, the show is not sold out!

man...I almost had a heart attack!
do you know the percentage of tickets that were available for presale though? roughly. because if, let's say half the tickets are sold out before the public sale even begins..

I'm so scared!

I heard a number of 10%, but I'm not entirely sure. It was definitely a small amount. I believe the venue holds about 4000, so don't worry, there will be lots of tickets left!

Re: my heart is broken =(

Ahh, that sucks! Was the public sale this morning? I can't believe they sold out that fast -- I agree, 4000 ppl isn't a very big venue. I guess I was comparing relative to the number of tickets that Waste sold, which was probably about 400. I'm guessing not too many people knew about the presale at radiohead.com on Tuesday, since their tickets did not sell out as quickly.

Re: my heart is broken =(

You should check on Ebay. If money isn't an issue, you can get tickets pretty easily on there. AND, if the seller is in Ontario, they cannot legally sell for more than the original selling price of the ticket. I did this for one of the last radiohead shows and it worked out fine!

unfortunately, money IS an issue

lucky you! tell me - how did you go about getting the tickets last time?

what do i say to them? i'll turn the cops on you if you don't sell them to me for $71?

Re: unfortunately, money IS an issue

I buy shit on ebay all the time. I just did a search for radiohead tickets (at ebay.ca) and tried to find a seller located in Ontario. As far as I'm aware, ebay is responsible for controlling for the prices. If you do a search for "Radiohead Tickets Toronto" you will see that a lot of the tickets are going for like $600 bucks a pair - but if you look carefully at the seller location, these tickets are being sold from outside of Ontario. On the other hand, sellers located in Ontario will have prices close to the original selling price. I think that even if the bids go above the orginial selling price, they still can't charge more. You may want to look into this a bit more though, in case things have changed.

Re: unfortunately, money IS an issue

i tried to place a bid, but you can't even bid less than what they're asking for .. i'm not too sure how ebay works, but thanks for the heads up!

Re: unfortunately, money IS an issue

so i sent one of them a message and he replied by saying that there are ways to get around the bylaws that govern ticket re-sale.

i hate scalpers!!
